As a self-taught artist, Tammy Sliz has relied on her eyes and determination as her mentors. As a teenager, Tammy dreamed of Colorado and made Colorado her home at the age of twenty. She noticed the many faces of one of Colorado’s most common trees, the Quaking Aspens, and began painting aspen landscapes with a vibrant, exciting, and colorful palette. Her aspen art became recognized and appreciated as she entered the art world in local galleries.
Tammy continues to be mesmerized by each and every aspen tree, quaking in the beautiful blue skies of Colorado.
“Art is a collaboration between God and the artist, and the less the artist does, the better.” - Andre Gide
